Putting iPhone in DFU Mode with Face ID

  • First of all, connect iPhone to Mac or PC with Face ID.
  • Then, ensure that iTunes or Finder is running properly.
  • Now, switch off your iPhone with Face ID if it isn’t turned off already.
  • Promptly, tap and release the volume up button.
  • Instantly long press and release the tab “Volume Down.”
  • Tap and hold the side tabs until the Power Off slide bar prompts up.
  • You need to drag the slide bar to Power your device to Off.
  • Tap and hold the side tab towards either on or off for up to three seconds on your iPhone.
  • Press the side tab and then tap and hold the volume tab on the left side of your iOS device.
  • Now, keep holding both the tabs for up to ten seconds.
  • After some time, you will be able to see the option “Plug into iTunes.” Now, you need to hold the tab long and try again if needed.
  • You may need to follow the above procedure again, so don’t worry about the timings.

 Note: You may promptly downgrade your device’s firmware if required once you are in DFU mode.

Putting iPad Pro into DFU Mode with Face ID

  • Firstly, connect your iPad Pro with Face ID into PC or Mac.
  • Then, ensure that iTunes and Finder are performing well.
  • Now, you need to make sure that your iPad Pro is Switched Off.
  • Quickly, long press and release the tab “volume up.”
  • Promptly, tap and release the button “Volume Down.”
  • Click and hold the Power tab situated at the uppermost section until the Power Off slide bar displays on the screen.
  • Now, drag the slide bar to switch off your iPad Pro.
  • Long press and hold down the Power tab for about three seconds.
  • Upon holding down the power tab, firmly press and hold the volume down button.
  • Keep holding both the tabs for about ten seconds.
  • In case the Apple icon appears on your iPad screen, then you need to keep it button too long. Then try again.
  • Release the side tab, but you need to continue holding down the volume tabs for about twenty seconds.

Note: In case the Plug into iTunes display appears, you need to hold the tabs too long and need to try the same procedure once again.
